What is the Pediatric Alliance, LLC Immunization Contract? > Back to top of the page.
A major goal of the Alliance, LLC,  was and is to insure that Pediatricians receive the best pricing on all products related to the care of Children and the practice of Pediatric Medicine.  A large and important product ar the Immunizations Pediatricians give everyday.  Pediatric Alliance has achieved that goal with Sanofi Pasteur and Merck by securing a Vaccine Contract for the contract members.

How does the Alliance Immunization Contract work? > Back to top of the page.
Vaccines are purchased no differently than you currently purchase them now.  The only difference is that when ordered, members are automatically linked to the Alliance Contract Pricing and will see the Pediatric Alliance name on the order form.

There is contract pricing for all vaccines made by both Sanofi Pasteur and Merck.
This includes the flu vaccine for members that have joined prior to the flu order deadline established each year by Sanofi Pasteur.

Is there a cost to join the Alliance Immunization Contract Program? > Back to top of the page.
There is no cost to join the Program.

Can members withdraw from the contract at any time? > Back to top of the page.
Yes.  Members that decide to withdraw from the contract only need to notify the administrator in writing and those members will be removed without any recourse.

Are there any other advantages to being on the Alliance Contract? > Back to top of the page.
Yes.  Each year a Fall Medical and Business Conference, fully supported by the Alliance, is held in Richmond, Va.  There is no cost for contract members to attend this popular CME educational forum.

Members are also given the opportunity to take part in any and all promotions put forth by both Sanofi Pasteur, and Merck.  Members are informed on a regular basis about any supply or other vaccine related issues.

Pediatric Alliance is working closely with the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and their Pediatric Council, to better educate and develop cooperation among member Practices and the insurance carriers.  In particular the Alliance is working to insure that notification by vaccine manufacturers of new vaccines and or price increases, are communicated to the Alliance Contract Administration at the same time they are communicated to the Insurance Carriers.  This will give the Alliance Administration time to minimize or eliminate any impact to Contract Members.

The Pediatric Alliance Web Site you have visited today, www.Pediatric-alliance.com is available to all members of the Contract.  This website is a valuable method of communicating quickly any news, events, or vaccine immunization information such as special promotions or inventory issues.  Vaccine cost calculators on the website allow members to calculate and view not only the value of the Alliance Contract, but to evaluate any new promotion, or new vaccine put forth by the vaccine manufacturers.

Are there any specific program requirements that members must meet ? > Back to top of the page.
Yes.  Pediatric Alliance engaged in this contract with the immunization manufacturers to achieve the best and most economical pricing for its members.  That pricing can only be achieved when member groups adhere to a set of guidelines for vaccine purchasing.  The more a group acts in unison, the better the ultimate pricing.

Therefore, members of the Pediatric Alliance Sanofi immunization contract agree to  purchase Daptacel (DTaP), IPOL (Polio), and ActHib (Haemophilus B) from Sanofi Pasteur, Inc.

Members of the Pediatric Alliance Merck Contract agree to purchase Recombivax (Hepatitis B),  Vaqta (Hepatitis A), Varivax (Chicken Pox), and MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) from Merck, Inc.

What happens if a member does not follow the above guidelines? > Back to top of the page.
Pediatric Alliance requires that those guidelines be followed to insure that all of the members achieve the maximum discounted rate.  Members who choose not to follow those guidelines only serve to hurt the entire group and work to dismantle the culture of the contract.

Members that do not adhere to the guidelines will be removed from the contract so as not to jeopardize the contract pricing of the other members.
